I wasn't in the mood to make some complex scene so i decided to make simple one.
Recently i am playing around with strata filters in Vue, especially with "3D stratification" to create some cliffs and after some testing this render i liked the most so i took it into the photoshop and edit it a bit...actually a lot :) ...color correction and a lot of painting on top of it since i wasn't going for super realism here.

It is not that i'm really satisfied with this cliff result but i like this one even if it's not very interesting scene....

...well, back to some more testing...it will be better next time!

what version of vue has strata like that? or is it some add-on?

I am using Vue 10 xStream..but i think that ver. 9 also have it...i'm not really sure since my first Vue is ver.10.
It is not plugin or add-on..it's one of the strata filters when you edit in function editor called "3D stratification" and it is a bit different that other strata filter since it goes before fractal/noise not after where usually strata filter goes.

The rock texture looks good. Sorta reminds me of slate and how it breaks away in layers...Though slate is usually dark grey :XD: The clouds are the best feature here though :omg:

Yep, texture is fine but cliff not so much at least i'm not satisfied with it since i had something a bit different in mind. I had in mind forest or something and then huge epic cliff rising behind and no sky visible...but could not make that cliff to look as i wanted...it is kinda getting there with this but not quite there yet..huh
Clouds are the best feature..i agree :)
